Employee Spotlight: Alessio Libardi, Full Stack Developer & Anime Fan

By 20/07/2021 March 4th, 2022 No Comments

As part of our new blog series, we’re doing an Employee Spotlight at Wonderflow! Part of our success and growth has been mainly due to our people. So, we’re excited to feature a hardworking team member each month.

In this fun interview, we played 10 questions (plus a bonus question) with Alessio Libardi, a Full Stack Developer, for over nine months at our office in Trento, Italy.

Born and raised in Trentino, he studied computer science in high school and fell in love with it during his senior year. He likes to read manga, novels, watch anime, tv series, and films. He also likes to practice inline skating, yoga, and meditation.

1. What motivates you to wake up and go to work?

The young and friendly environment coupled with interesting and stimulating challenges makes me go to work with a smile.

2. What do you do at our company?

I’m a Full Stack Developer in the Product Development Team. I’m in charge of transforming web prototypes into usable experiences!

As a team, we collaborate daily with the Design and Marketing team to enhance our product and make it more useful for our customers.

What I really like about our team is that everyone is responsible for the decisions we make.

In the next year, we plan to expand a lot, and I’m really excited about this since there will be so many new ideas in the process. Surely, it will be hard sometimes, but we really need many more people to complete our company vision truly.

3. How would your family or friends describe you in three words?

Reliable, sensitive, curious.

4. What would you do (career-wise) if you were not in this current job?

I would search for a company just like Wonderflow, where young and talented people can help each other grow and where everyone is a key component for the team’s success!

5. What’s something you’re planning on doing in the next year that you’ve never done?

During the next year, I would like to enroll in a university. I would love to be able to work and study at the same time. I know it won’t be easy, but I still want to try to learn a lot of new things and grow as a person.

6. If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?

If I could have an unlimited supply of one thing, it would be stories. I would have answered time in the past, but I’ve concluded that time is unlimited if you are willing to experience other people’s stories.

We can also experience the life of people who never existed, thanks to fiction.

7. Would you rather be the funniest or smartest person in the room? Why?

The funniest for sure! Being the funniest will make you able to tell the truths when nobody can’t. Court jesters did this during medieval times.

Being the smartest, it’s surely good but will only make you uncomfortable since no one will really understand you.

8. Who is your hero? Why?

Great Teacher Onizuka. He’s a fictional character from an anime I love. He’s my hero because he has offered me so many countless lessons about life.

That’s also one of the reasons I wanted to become a teacher when I was younger.

9. What’s the weirdest fact you know?

Our society is built on fiction. Fiction has enabled humankind not only to imagine things but to do so collectively.

We can weave common myths, such as the biblical creation story, the Dreamtime myths of Aboriginal Australians, and the nationalist myths of modern states, all to cooperate with a countless number of strangers.

10. What’s your favorite food?

Lemons. Ask someone that really knows me, and they’ll tell you the same. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

Bonus: What’s your favorite meme that you probably share often among your friends?
